‘Induction’ is being held in Scarth Hall, Barnard Castle on Monday !
This is prior to exciting ‘local community work projects for young people with ‘local tradespeople’ providing coaching and mentoring !
The group of young Bishop Auckland students will benefit from this learning support and life skills to help employability and development over the summer holiday period.
We aim to stimulate personal growth, well being, help them to develop confidence, inter generational relationships and provide and inspire positivity in challenging times.
We were and are all young once....in 1985 or 2020 !

Do you know any 16 to 24 year old young people (students, ex militery, for example ) who would benefit from some practical 1-1 training/coaching/mentoring in:
Painting and Decorating & General Maintenance/ wood trades ?

This experience will be supported by Induction, client visits, work project scoping, a weeks work project and experience in a community setting, bespoke 1-1 CV development and coaching, interview prep and other activities.

It will lead to opportunity for further work experience and an increased network of contacts ?

Good news ! We can now schedule another programme as we have a weeks practical training in a ‘real job’ context lined up in County Durham during the holiday period and a fantastic opportunity to deliver a unique creative learning experience for our local young people during these difficult times.

One programme is already full !

Please phone me to find out more or enquire about enrolment by Wednesday 24/6 latest
On 07725 113352.

Thanks
Andrew

Can you help ?
We are a not for profit young enterprise supporting local
young/ disadvantaged people.
We are looking to facilitate some Trades4Care programmes and summer holiday programmes for young people over the coming weeks to provide coaching, mentoring, life skills support, work experience and help stimulate some community positivity.
We have work projects lined up to support the young person development.
We will be risk assessing the work project and classroom environments including induction to ‘further education’ Covid-19 requirements.
I’m looking to establish if anyone has a room available I could to facilitate an induction session on either Monday 29th or 30th June (as an option to Teams or Zoom calls)
It’s an ‘exploratory’ question at this stage.
I’m coordinating the first 2 programmes currently.
If you could message me on 07725 113352

Many thanks

STAINDROP’S Scarth Memorial Hall enjoyed a minor makeover last week, thanks to a community group that is helping students get on-the-job training.

⭐️Barclays - I’ve been very impressed✔️✔️

My observations - all positive.
I set up Trades4Care Project social enterprise business last year and approached Vanessa and Sue at Bishop Auckland branch to support some messages I was delivering during a financial day for local students as part of our programme of learning.
I felt Barclays social impact with young people mirrored my and our values. We now hold the business account with them, my first account with them.

They have not just supported me in every way possible but in addition the support and service face to face I received from another lady in the branch to navigate around the on line system during Covid -19 recently and also answer queries was honesty the most friendly and best service I can remember receiving in many years from any business.
Sadly Im not absolutely sure I can remember her name (possibly Claire) but I plan to visit with a box of chocs or biscuits for the branch at some point soon. (If I’m allowed)

I’m happy for any friends or ex colleagues in my financial days who work for Barclays to share this post.

I have and try to set high standards so for me to be this impressed is rare.

Thanks Barclays - great work in supporting a small fledgling social enterprise ✔️🥇
