“Hi To the A Team 

I’d like to take this opportunity to say a really big thank you to all of you .
As a parent of Teenagers life is never boring I’m sure most of you get that . Sometimes it’s very difficult and quite overwhelming not knowing what road to follow or even Where a path will lead .

In some of them Moments you can feel so alone and like the whole world is against you and in theses times of need it can feel like theres No way out . However you still need to be strong be the patient ,parent listen engage and support No matter what . ( Not that easy )

Often the journey takes us to uncomfortable moments of distress disruption and destruction. Then out of know where you get Glimmers of hope Belief and comfort from others , that’s what you’ve provided for me and my Mikey a comfort blanket in a storm at a time of need . We all need TLC a warmth at some point and for that I can’t thank you enough every single one of you your all Awesome.
Your offering such an amazing opportunity and the dedication and support given to my son was Exceptional .

It’s been so appreciated come at the right time to enable him to be included and accepted for being himself . Mikey really needed this the time the support the success the comfort and the room to engage with others enabling him to build up his world believing in himself:

Youth Worker Vision

I’ve worked with children and young people for over 20 years now and I’m able to engage challenge and support many on a regular basis . However being a parent is another level . I’ve two teenage boys and a grownup daughter so life’s never dull . The impact on Family life for us over the last few years hasn’t been great ( Both boys have Attachment disorders ) Mikey it’s took me longer to Realise and to say he’s suffered because of this is an Understatement it’s not been easy on any of the us all the family have been affected. It’s impacted on his schooling and relationships and he’s struggled with life in general. It’s been tuff but we are trying to turn it round and making big steps for a better brighter future .

We definitely need more understanding for issues related to Mental Health and Well-being for Young People and more safe spaces . What you are doing offers this and the impact is great and so inspiring to others valuing our young people. Having a belief in our Children and Community’s makes so much sense to me providing a positive structure and understanding of their needs emotions and feelings . I’m Honoured to have met you all and wish you well on your journey with so much success for a better future for our children young people family’s and our Communities:

Your input was appreciated taking the time to sit with Mikey listening engaging letting him talk tell his story his adventures and possibly even some of his dreams.

The power of others can have such an impact on us even if we don’t respond or realise till later . Meeting others and trying to understand is of great value and I’m certain he got a lot from your encouragement and time.

Meeting the team at King James Mikey came away from that uplifted and with a smile the positive power of others is incredible. Let me tell you why I got a little overwhelmed at this point .

My boy Mikey firstly you all took the time to introduce yourself and speak to him not me you responded directly to him . Looking at him talking to him , telling him stuff stories and with such a passion for life and valuing what you do . At this point you catch him and I know because I do that on a daily basis I catch kids when they are falling or feel like they are failing that’s my job : Catching your own children is however harder so moments like this are so precious and of true value .

In that there’s such a life lesson it’s not school it’s honest and real and inclusive and that’s the important part the impact on him was extraordinary . I had to take a moment to myself at this point just to get myself grounded I was overwhelmed .

I came back to the room and Mikeys like a Ghostbuster with the jet pack on his back quite funny and once again everyone was talking to him he responded well and we are able to close it down and leave at this point.

Taking time to work with Mikey ensuring that his needs are met that he’s comfortable feeling safe being responsible and responding to instructions . Building up his confidence strength and determination to succeed is so inspirational and so important you will never know the impact and the power this brings . Positive energy can bring so much to someone’s life. It’s really valuable what you are doing and then talking the time to update me with total understanding of my needs to . Being a Parent isn’t easy being a Child / Young Person Isn’t easy more importantly been present isn’t easy what you’ve managed to do it and for that I we thank you all
